Waterstone Retail Development is pleased to introduce Woodlawn Crossing, a complete redevelopment of the Teens Parcel of the former GE property in the William Stanley Business Park off Tyler Street. Woodlawn Crossing consists of a relocation of the Walmart store on Hubbard Avenue to a new Supercenter with groceries. With this relocation, residents’ shopping dollars can now stay close to home in the City of Pittsfield. The new Walmart will create 85-100 new jobs, a majority full time, and generate hundreds of thousands of dollars in revenues for the City of Pittsfield. Once Walmart moves to this new site, the existing Hubbard Avenue store will be retenanted to another retailer or business.
Woodlawn Crossing is a smart growth development that will reuse an old, 1910’s era industrial site, and we need your support! With the new opportunities for community improvements it will create, Woodlawn Crossing will allow for infrastructure, pedestrian and aesthetic upgrades that may not otherwise be possible without the considerable private investment proposed. The Woodlawn Crossing proposal will incentivize a variety of uses including medical office, life sciences, retail, light manufacturing and research and development as the project aims to stimulate further economic development within William Stanley Business Park.
